The Vice President of Implementation is a strategic and highly technical leader responsible for overseeing the end-to-end deployment of OneRail’s delivery orchestration platform for enterprise customers. This role ensures that every implementation is delivered with precision, speed, and technical excellence.

The VP of Implementation will architect scalable processes, lead a high-performing technical implementation team, and serve as the executive bridge between Sales, Product, Solution Design, Engineering, Customer Success, and external customer technology teams. This leader must possess deep technical fluency, especially around APIs, integrations, data mapping, system architecture, and enterprise IT environments, to ensure customers realize value quickly and reliably.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy

  • Rebuild and execute OneRail’s implementation strategy focused on scalability, technical rigor, and rapid time-to-value.

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of implementation managers, technical consultants and integration specialists.

  • Create a culture of delivery excellence centered around repeatable methodologies, technical mastery, and proactive problem-solving.

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering to align implementation readiness with roadmap evolution and ensure field-facing teams understand new capabilities.

Technical Implementation & Solution Delivery

  • Own the technical architecture of customer implementations, advising on API integration patterns, data workflows, authentication protocols, and system dependencies.

  • Oversee scoping, design, configuration, and technical validation of OneRail platform deployments, including:

  • API integrations (REST/JSON, webhooks, event-driven workflows)

  • ERP, POS, OMS, TMS, and WMS connections

  • Data normalization and mapping

  • Automation logic, routing configurations, and business rule setup

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time with strong governance, proactive risk management, and rigorous technical QA.

  • Serve as the executive escalation point for technical challenges, complex data scenarios, and high-visibility enterprise launches.

Customer Experience & Enterprise Readiness

  • Work directly with customer CIO/CTO stakeholders, solution architects, and IT teams to define integration requirements and ensure architectural alignment.

  • Champion customer outcomes by reducing implementation friction and enabling faster adoption of OneRail’s core features (dispatch automation, inventory visibility, routing logic, rate optimization, etc.).

  • Drive continuous improvement of implementation playbooks, technical templates, and solution frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Solution Engineering to ensure accurate scoping and technical expectations during the sales cycle.

  • Collaborate with Product Management to provide field insights that shape the product roadmap, integration standards, and customer-facing tools.

  • Coordinate with Customer Success to ensure seamless go-live handoffs and clear ongoing ownership of technical workflows.

  • Interface with OneRail’s Network Operations and Carrier Management teams to ensure partner integrations are implementation-ready.

Operational Excellence

  • Build and manage implementation KPIs—including time-to-value, accuracy of technical configurations, integration success rates, and customer satisfaction during onboarding.

  • Implement systems and automation to improve forecasting, reporting, and resource management.

  • Maintain and evolve OneRail’s implementation methodology with a strong emphasis on technical documentation, testing protocols, and compliance.

Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience leading complex SaaS implementations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

  • Deep technical expertise in API integrations, enterprise system architecture, authentication standards, and data transformation.

  • Proven experience implementing solutions across retail, supply chain, logistics, or transportation ecosystems.

  • Strong ability to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions and communicate them at an executive and engineering level.

  • Demonstrated success scaling implementation teams during high-growth phases.

  • Exceptional problem-solving ability and comfort navigating highly technical conversations with enterprise IT stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with logistics platforms, dispatch systems, OMS/TMS/WMS integrations, or carrier networks.

  • Familiarity with routing engines, middleware/iPaaS tools, or event-driven architectures.

  • Strong understanding of security best practices (OAuth, SSO/SAML, encryption standards, compliance frameworks).
  • Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS organization.

Success Measures

  • Reduction in implementation timelines and faster customer time-to-value.

  • High integration success rates and low post-launch technical escalations.

  • Strong customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS) during implementation.

  • Improved predictability of go-live schedules and resource planning.

  • Scalable technical documentation and repeatable implementation frameworks.

  • Tight alignment with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way.
